Module 1 – Data Updates and Charts

This module covers everything you need in order to maintain the data for a market within GATE. GATE can draw Swing Charts and Bar Charts for variety of time frames. GATE only requires End of Day data (open High Low Close) to operate – and offers a number of simple options for importing this data.

Module 1 covers the following functionality:
  • Setting up a new market
  • Switching between markets.  
  • Updating the End of Day (EOD) data
  • Select an update method: File Import or cut’n’paste
  • Delete markets
  • GATE automatically updates and maintains bar data (Date, Open, Hi, Low, Close, and Volume) for all important time frames: Calendar Days, Trading Days, Weeks, Months, Quarters and Years.
  • GATE automatically calculates the swings for each of these time frames.
  • GATE automatically calculates time and price ranges for swings for these time frames
  • Draws Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly or Annual Swing Charts.
  • Draws Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly or Annual Bar charts.
  • The User customizable data on the charts
