William Delbert Gann was born in Lufkin, Texas.

Truth of the Stock Tape is the ideal first read for anyone interested in W.D. Gann or trading in general.  It gives you many of Gann's rules that you need to follow if you are going to be a successful trader.  Truth will also keep you from making many early mistakes - if you listen...  Commodities are also given an overview as well, specifically Cotton, Wheat, and Corn.  
W. D. Gann combined this book with another work, "Wall Street Stock Selector" written in 1930.  This second part shows just what W.D. learned in the years since "Truth of the Stock Tape".  
Also included in the book are some of W.D. Gann's letters plus the 1929 Annual Stock Forecast.

The aim and object of every trader who enters Wall Street is to make money, yet it is a well known fact that a large percentage of traders lose money.  There are many reasons for their losses.  One of the most important is that they do not know how to select the right stocks to buy and sell at the right time.  I expect to give rules provable and practical which will help traders to study and learn how to select the proper stocks to buy and sell with a minimum of risk.

As Billy and Nikki Jones brought W.D. Gann's work back to the public, the demand grew for trading seminars based on Gann's principles.  Many workshops were held around the world in the 80's put on by Lambert-Gann Publishing.
